2009 Shopper Education

MSPA previously announced that the 2009 Educational Conference for Shoppers would be held in conjunction with the MSPA Annual Conference for member companies in Las Vegas in October. However, since then, the economy has taken a hit and we had to review the performance of past years' events and determine whether it would be prudent to move forward as planned.

Previous years' modest attendance at the Educational Conference for Shoppers resulted in losses for every event. With today's economy in a state of flux, MSPA decided that the best course of action would be to cancel the Shopper Conference this year. Instead, we are exploring creating a videocast program which would be broadcast from Las Vegas, where the MSPA company member conference will be held. If we are successful in organizing this, shoppers from all over the country would be able to register and attend by going to a local venue where the videocast can be received. We're still exploring, but we hope that we would be able to have at least some degree of interaction between the videocast presenter/others at the site and shoppers. We'll post new information as we determine whether we can make this work.
